Tribute to Mr. Gono

Dorine Gono's father, Peter Lougan Gono, passed away last week. He was buried in Sannequille Sunday August 4. Mr. Gono was born in Sanniquellie October 13, 1922. Dorine is his only child. He worked at G.W. Harley hospital in Sanniquellie as a dietary aide for 30 years. The war forced him to retire.

Peter was a hunter, farmer, father, brother, uncle, nephew and worked in

sanitation before working in the hospital. Here are some pictures sent to us from the funeral. We offer our condolences to all of the Gono family both in the US and in Liberia! Dorine had hoped that her father would have walked the halls of the new hospital when it is completed. He may still yet. Perhaps we should name a wing after him. Rest in peace!
